Magnificent view of lost Chestnut tree. Stuart Stacey collection
Great view of the long lost Chestnut Tree, which was a land mark in the grounds of St Peter & St Pauls Church, Chatteris, photographed in Black & White to good effect, by Stuart Stacey from the Bell tower of the church.
As they say at the sales ” When it’s gone, it’s gone”—- in this case forever, along with a great many other trees around Chatteris, being felled for various reasons.
It’s my opinion if a tree is felled another should replace it for future generations —what do you think ?
