  • I believe this pub was at one time owned by my great grandfather James Newitt 1806-64 and was sold by his son Edward James Newitt c1870. Neither were publicans.

  • In 1916 The Red Lion Inn was being run by Mr Robert Mould. His son Herbert William Mould died in World War 1 (see WW1 biographies).
